Amity for Schools
Teaching essential life skills is not a part of today's curriculum. Social and emotional skills are arguably some of the most important skills humans need to navigate today's world successfully.
Learning conflict management, emotional regulation, managing stress, organizational habits, making friends, understanding emotions and taking responsibility are skills that can be taught at any age. When children's social and emotional skills are increased so is their ability to learn, they experience increased resiliency and less strain is put on the classroom teacher.

Amity works collaboratively with teachers of any grade to provide consultation and customize programs that teach these skills in the classroom, in small groups or one-to-one.

"Anyone can become angry - that is easy. But to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not easy."
